We encourage you to explore a few teacher profiles and see whose approach, location, or area of focus aligns with your needs. You are welcome to contact them directly with questions, they are all warm, experienced, and happy to help!

7. How much do the classes cost?
Prices vary depending on the teacher, their level of experience, where the class is held, and how they choose to structure payment. Some classes may offer sliding scale options, community rates, free classes, or passes. Check with the specific teacher or their website for exact details.

8. Do any of the teachers offer private sessions or yoga therapy?
Yes, many of our graduates offer private sessions or specialise in yoga therapy for specific health conditions. Their profiles will indicate if they offer these services. You can also book for Private Classes or Yoga Therapy directly with us, please visit our Consultations Page.

9. Can I attend online classes with any of your teachers?
Absolutely. Some teachers offer online classes or blended options. Just check their listings or contact them directly to see what’s available.

10. What should I wear?
Wear clothes that feel comfortable and allow your skin to breathe, loose-fitting, stretchy, and easy to move in. There’s no need to buy anything special. Come as you are, and wear whatever helps you feel most at ease and yourself on the mat.

11. Do I need to bring a Yoga Mat?
Most likely, yes-but it’s best to check with the teacher ahead of time to be sure. Our classes typically use a yoga mat, a bolster, and a blanket. If you don’t have those yet, don’t stress—some teachers have spare gear available for newcomers. You’re absolutely welcome even if you’re still getting set up.

12. I’ve never done Yoga before, what do I need to know?
We’re so excited to meet you! You don’t need any prior experience to join. Here are a few tips to help you feel prepared:
- Avoid eating right before class. A light snack is fine, but it’s best to practice yoga on an empty or light stomach.
- Arrive a bit early. This gives you time to settle in and speak with the teacher about any health conditions, injuries, or questions.
- Expect a mix of practices. Yoga classes may include breathing exercises, gentle stretching, and sometimes chanting.
- Go at your own pace. Listen to your body—if something doesn’t feel right or a posture is uncomfortable, skip it and ask the teacher for an alternative. You’re here to feel good, not to push through pain.

13. Do I need to be flexible or fit to start yoga?
Not at all. Yoga meets you where you are. Our teachers are trained to support people of all ages, body types, and levels of ability. Whether you’re recovering from injury, managing stress, or just curious, there’s space for you here. You don’t need to “get fit first”-just start where you are.

14. Is yoga religious?
Yoga has deep spiritual roots in Indian tradition, but you don’t need to follow a particular belief system to practice. Our classes may include elements like chanting or meditation, but they are always offered in a respectful and inclusive way. You’re welcome to participate as much or as little as feels right for you.

15. What if I have an injury or health condition?
Please let the teacher know before class so they can support you safely. Many of our teachers have additional training in yoga therapy and can offer modifications or alternatives. If you’re looking for personalised support, you might consider a private session or yoga therapy consult. Visit our Consultations page.

16. What age groups are the classes suitable for?
Most classes are suitable for adults of all ages, and some teachers specialise in working with older adults, beginners, or specific groups. Teacher profiles will often indicate their areas of focus, so feel free to browse and choose what suits your life stage and comfort level.

17. What’s the difference between yoga and yoga therapy?
Yoga classes are typically group-based and focus on general wellbeing. Yoga therapy is more individualised, and tailored to support specific health conditions or challenges. Our yoga therapists work one-on-one to support physical, emotional, and mental health using yogic tools in a personalised way.
