Our Yoga Style

Our Lineage

We are grounded in the lineage of T. Krishnamacharya and his son, T.K.V. Desikachar. Known as Viniyoga, this tradition emphasises adapting the practice to suit each individual’s needs. It prioritises function over form, breath-led movement, and the thoughtful integration of philosophy, pranayama, chanting, and meditation.

This lineage stands in continuity with the classical teachings of Patanjali, as well as the embodied wisdom of the Hatha Yoga tradition, passed down through the Nath yogis. However it offers a modern, accessible way of entering into those depths.
